Oskari Korpikari is a strong, big basic defence man, who plays calmly and precisely around the defence area. Korpikari handles his job surely when he's with the puck - but also when he's without it. Korpikari is an athletic hockey player, who takes care of his place very conscientiously and is highly motivated at training.

24-year-old Korpikari, who is starting his seventh season in the league, isn't afraid of tough situations, and he usually wins the struggles. Korpikari likes to tackle a lot but his tackles are clean. Injuries haven't depressed this gutsy defence man, they have only made him stronger.

Korpikari has played 17 junior international games and was one of the players in under-20-year-old's World Championship bronze medalist -team in the season 2003-2004. Before joining Kärpät he played junior games in Kiekko-Ketut and Laser. Despite his young age Korpikari already has four Finnish National gold medals, one silver and one bronze medal, and two ECC silver medals. He knows how hard one must work to succeed.
